MBOMBELA – Lowveld Hospital is proud to announce that Busamed (Pty) Ltd, a leading and award winning hospital group, successfully completed its acquisition of the hospital on March 1, 2018.
It will now be known as Busamed Lowveld Private Hospital.
Busamed is primarily focused on elevating the quality of the healthcare it offers patients to the best.
With the addition of Lowveld Hospital to its stable, four of Busamed Hospitals are ranked among the best twenty hospitals in the country – as chosen by Discovery Health patients.
Chief Executive Officer of Busamed, Dr Diliza Mji, said he was excited about the future of Busamed Lowveld Private Hospital. “Lowveld Hospital has over the past 14 years built an extremely close and special relationship with the community and care will be taken to foster and cement this relationship,” he added.
He also announced the exciting news that Busamed Lowveld Private Hospital will soon be expanding to be able to offer even more patients its superb service.
The hospital has obtained a license for additional hospital beds and plans are underway for a brand new 150-bed hospital. Construction is set to start soon.
“This hospital will provide a full range of facilities, including an emergency room, a maternity ward, intensive care beds and a modern radiology unit,” said Mji.
Another major exciting project is the establishment of a 25-bed day hospital.
“There is a huge drive from medical aid schemes to bring down hospital fees, and same day surgery is an ideal way to perform cheaper surgery for a wide range of procedures,” Mji explained. “This would allow the community access to affordable medical care.”
Busamed, a proudly South African owned company, has seven high-performing hospitals known for their superior healthcare throughout the country.
The launch of this hospital was celebrated in style with the newly set Busamed sign shining brightly over the party. Dollie Gin ensured a refreshing welcome to the doctors, business men and local celebrities. With mouth watering appetizers served by Zest Restaurant and the lovely sway of Havannah tunes in the background, this was an evening that will be remembered by all.
