Nkangala Athletes dominate Shanduka 5 in 1 Marathon
Athletes of Nkangala Athletic Academy once again inspired fellow competitors with a dominant performance at the Shanduka 5 in 1 Marathon held in Middelburg on Saturday 24 January 2015.
Chairperson of the Nkangala Athletic Academy, Emmanuel Sharper Mabaso, said that ‘the club made history by winning prizes in all five categories presented on the day’.
We are ecstatic to see improvements among our juniors during their performance, it shows that the December training camp yielded positive results and we will continue preparations for the South Africa Cross Country Championships to be held in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, in September 2015, said Mabaso.
Mabaso also extended a word of thanks and gratitude towards Zaaiman Exploration Drilling for the donation of five computers to be used by NAA learners for “Schools Assignments, Research and Overall Upliftment of academic performance and education”
The Nkangala Athletes obtained the following results:
10km juniors -Male category:
1. Ben Mahlangu, 2. Doctor Madalane, 3. Bongani Nkosi.
10km juniors – Female Category:
1. Thobile Amon, 2. Thulisile Amon.
15km – Veterans:
1. George Mokwana, 2 John Sibeko.

Juniors – Second: Sifiso Molotiwa,
Seniors – Second: Moses Mahlangu.

1. John Thipe, 2. Jabulani Khoza and in position 3. Tebogo Magabe.
