Twin Chefs Infuse Family Recipes with a Healthy Twist
In every family, there’s a cherished recipe, a culinary legacy passed down through generations.
This dish, steeped in tradition and often featuring a secret ingredient guarded by the inner circle, is a staple at family gatherings.
But, can these family recipes evolve without sacrificing their essence?
Candice Sessions, Laager Rooibos Marketing Manager, explores the delicate balance between tradition and modernity in family recipes. She enlists the expertise of South African twin chefs, Lebo, and Tebo Ndala, also known as @withlovefromthetwins, who have successfully married tradition with a health-conscious approach in their culinary journey.
Preserving Heritage with a Healthy Twist, Lebo and Tebo emphasize the significance of family recipes as a legacy that connects them to their roots and culture. However, they acknowledge the need for adaptation to suit modern lifestyles and dietary preferences.
Our mom used to make a delicious pasta salad when we were kids which was smart of her because it was bulky and could fill all four kids up quickly – but it had a lot of mayonnaise
The Twins’ Approach, While drawing inspiration from family recipes, the twins prioritize health consciousness without compromising their cultural identity.
Lebo and Tebo share their innovative twists on two beloved family classics.
