Exciting News: 20 Years of Nourishing Young Lives with E’pap
Hold onto your hats because we’ve just hit a milestone that’s worth shouting about! For two whole decades, the e’Pap Children’s Feeding Project has been spreading its wings far and wide, reaching the hearts and bellies of little ones in George, Sedgefield, Knysna, and Plettenberg Bay.
What started as a humble initiative in Knysna back in 2003, serving up warm bowls of e’Pap, has now exploded into a full-blown movement. Picture this: 11 million steaming, nutritious meals have been dished out over the years, nourishing over 5,500 children across 140 pre-schools. That’s not just a number; it’s a legacy of love and care, changing lives one spoonful at a time.
And guess what? Last weekend, our incredible founders, Shelley Godsell, Lally Viljoen, and Peter Godsell, threw a bash to end all bashes! Imagine 80 passionate volunteers and dedicated school staff coming together to celebrate this monumental achievement. The air was electric with gratitude and joy, echoing with laughter and the clinking of glasses.
But here’s the best part: our success story isn’t just local; it’s global. We’ve had supporters from every corner of the world, from the lush landscapes of the Garden Route to far-off lands overseas. To all of you, we raise our spoons in a heartfelt salute. Thanks to your generosity, an entire generation of children is growing up healthier, happier, and better nourished.
From the bottom of our hearts, we say thank you, enkosi kakhulu, and baie dankie! Here’s to another 20 years of spreading the magic of e’Pap and transforming lives. Together, we’re making the world a warmer, fuller, and more vibrant place for our little ones!
