Update: York High learner recovering
The doctors are happy with Andrew Searle’s progress and one of the drainage tubes that was inserted during surgery on Tuesday evening has been removed.
His dad, Sean says the York High teen is doing well, but still in ICU in Mediclinic George. “He was to be moved to the children’s ward yesterday, but the doctors have decided to keep him in ICU for one more day as a precautionary measure. We expect him to be moved to the children’s ward today.”
The 14 year old Grade 8 boy sustained serious head injuries almost two weeks ago when hit against the head with a shoe hidden inside a pillow during a dormitory raid in the York High Hostel.
