PI thinks missing man is alive
A private investigator says he is reasonably convinced that Knysna businessman Bert Scheepers, who has been missing for three weeks, is alive.
The 65-year-old man has been missing since 9 May, and the family has since hired the well-known Pretoria-based private investigator Mike Bolhuis to help find Scheepers.
Specialising in serious violent and socioeconomic crimes, Bolhuis said development has been made on the case and that they are “quite sure” they know what happened and are on the right track but that the information is sensitive and he could not divulge more.
“We are reasonably convinced that he is alive and we are looking for him,” he said, adding, “I want to state though that it is a crime if there’s a missing person’s case open and someone with information doesn’t inform the authorities… If this message reaches Mr Scheepers, we ask him to contact us immediately.”
He said they have activated a series of informers across the country who are working with them.
“We have a complete network that is looking and is open for information and will inform us immediately,” said Bolhuis.
Anyone with information can contact Mike Bolhuis on 082 447 6116.
