Greening up The Village Green
The Sedgefield Lions Club joined hands with Knysna Municipality today, 29 September, to plant four new trees at Sedgefield’s village green.
According to Ward 2 Councillor Cathy Weideman, the project is a continuation of the community work she has been doing with the Lions.
“I love working with them because of what they do for the community, and we always work so well together,” she said.
The four new holes were dug up this morning and yellowwood, Cape ash and two wild olive trees were planted at the village green by Weideman and a team from the municipality as well as the Sedgefield Lions Club.
