Quiz Nights Final on The Horizon

Quiz nights are always a ton of fun with many attending.

In their first season (2022) quiz nights were held over 25 weeks and four craft breweries – Barrington’s in Plettenberg Bay, Red Bridge Brewing Company in Knysna, Knysna Gin and Distillery in Knysna and Sedgefield Craft Brewery in Sedgefield.

This week Wednesday, 5 November, the Craft Quiz Nights Garden Route Trivia League will be holding its final event to determine which town and craft brewery have the top trivia brains in the Garden Route.

Craft Quiz Nights is a league of pub quiz nights held across the Garden Route.

In their first season (2022) quiz nights were held over 25 weeks and four craft breweries – Barrington’s in Plettenberg Bay, Red Bridge Brewing Company in Knysna, Knysna Gin and Distillery in Knysna and Sedgefield Craft Brewery in Sedgefield.

The final will be held at Red Bridge Brewing Company and will see the top 12 teams from the three towns compete for a total prize pool of more than R10 000 comprising both cash and prizes.

Over the course of the season that commenced in April, 92 different teams or more than 300 individuals have attended quiz nights and scored points towards their league score to qualify for the final.

Individual craft quiz nights are designed to be fun nights out for families and friends to socialize around a table, enjoy local craft beers, and engage in a battle of general trivia knowledge.

The Craft Quiz Nights league was the brainchild of Jonathan Perry, for the purpose of hosting weekly events that allow Garden Route citizens and visitors of all ages alike to socialize over a pub quiz.

The quizzes comprise a wide variety of general knowledge questions as well as fun picture quiz rounds and a music round of hits from today to the 60s, with music from the 80s and 90s proving most popular.

Throughout the season the venues and other local businesses have generously sponsored weekly prizes including Whitewashed, Maillard Bakery, The Lounge, Packwood Wines, Good Earth, and Pippa’s Flowers.
