Wilderness Festival proves Golden
The Wilderness Festival piqued the interest of Investgold (Pty) Ltd, one of the biggest suppliers of SA Mint gold coin products, resulting in them sponsoring this family-orientated Festival from this year on.
“We are extremely thankful to Investgold for recognising the value of our festival and agreeing to link their name to this event. With Investgold being one of the biggest suppliers of the world’s most popular gold Bullion coin – the Krugerrand, it makes us extremely proud that they recognise the worth of the festival as well as what it means to the community, economy and the charities that we support,” said festival organiser, Jacques Pratt.
This festival, in its fourth year, will from now be known as the ‘Investgold Wilderness Festival’ and take place from April 12 – 14.
“Investgold is extremely excited to be involved in this popular festival, which has proved itself as a source of enjoyment to many. More importantly we are honoured to be involved in a vital fundraiser for the festival’s beneficiaries Kula Malika, SPCA Garden Route and the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), not forgetting that the festival is also a great anchor for attracting tourism to the area, which is vital for its economic growth.” said Investgold CEO, Gerrit Schwartz.
This festival, held at the Wilderness hotel, has developed a reputation as one that caters for families, fitness fanatics and the youth and this year promises to be no different.
The annual Two Lagoons Marathon in Wilderness, will from now be known as the ‘Investgold Two Lagoons Marathon’ which will form now be part of the festival and takes place on Saturday 13 April. The morning’s races include distances of 30, 10 and 5kms.
SFM Radio will be broadcasting from the festival on this day to ensure that all are kept up-to-date with all the day’s fun.
The biggest draw though is, of course, the music, offering 25 hours of live music throughout the festival, with the talented local artists making up the bulk of these.
Investgold Wilderness Festival 2019 is also offering an admirable selection of Arts & Crafts, food and drinks and of course entertainment to keep the children occupied while their parents partake in adult activities.
The Kids Zone is equipped with jumping castles, face-painting stations, drawing stations and so much more. Trained caregivers will be on site to fulfil the children’s entertainment needs making sure that the fun never stops. This Zone further provides safety for children with its special signing-in procedure. Strict measures are in place to ensure that the child only leaves with the individual who signed him or her in.
“We are extremely excited about this year’s festival. As per usual, the festival will spill from the Wilderness Hotel onto the Wilderness Common, showcasing the hospitality that makes Wilderness a sought-after tourism destination. Having Investgold joining us in this venture enables us to offer festinos golden entertainment,” said Pratt.
He concluded by extending an invitation to all who would like to become part of this 2019 Investgold Wilderness Festival to contact the organisers by email or by phone, Whatsapp or Telegram on 084 446 3422.
