The First ‘Knysna Film Festival’ to kick off on the 29th October 2019 to the 2nd November 2019.
Movie-lovers, celebrate! The Knysna Film Festival officially opens its doors on the 29th of October 2019, kicking off with the Opening Green Carpet, Garden Route Film Premiere Event.
This ticketed event, held at the Knysna Premier Resort and Hotel will include Opening Cocktails & Canapé’s followed by the screening of the recently released, adaption of Fiela se kind.
The Knysna Film festival is proud to announce a total of 47 releases which will be shown in a non-stop cinematic euphoria, over a 4 day period and will be utilizing up to 11 different venues spread across the beautiful, scenic town of Knysna.
The Organisers strongly believe in diversity within people and Films and so they have carefully curated a line-up that will appeal to audiences from different ages, genders and groups. This Line-up will include feature films, short films, and documentaries and animated Film.
Knysna Film festival is giving the public the opportunity to really experience everything by offering action films, documentaries, films addressing environmental issues, drama, horror, mystery, romance, comedy, animation, there is entertainment for all tastes and genre.
Of the 47 films, 39 will be competing in a competition. Those that are not in competition include the four open-air theatre screenings and the opening-night film.
The competition, which runs throughout the festival, ends with the awards gala event on Saturday 2 November, once again at Premier Resort, at 18:30.
Learners, young or old, should take the opportunity to attend the free public workshops, social networking opportunities and discussion panels by mentors and film industry professionals, that will take place for the duration of the festival.
