Security cluster Imbizo fully activated
Stakeholders in Greater Knysna continue to rally behind the 16 Days of Activism against women and children abuse.
The stakeholders have activated a security cluster imbizo, under the theme:
#TheYearofCharlotteMannyaMaxeke:16 Days of Activism – moving from awareness to accountability.
An event held on 01 December 2021 included a candlelight ceremony at the Hornlee Sportsfield. The ceremony paid respect to and mourned the abused and fallen women and children.
Knysna Executive Mayor, Levael Davis was in attendance alongside Council Whip Hilton Stroebel and Portfolio Chairperson Community Services: Elmarie Maxim, Cllrs Mncedisi Skosana, and Jason White.
The local chapter includes the following role players: Correctional Services, Knysna CPF, Knysna SAPS, and other stakeholders.
