SA Women Fight Back interviewed by Eon Engelbrecht
Jodie Polley joins Eon Engelbrecht in the Knysna studio, Woodmil Walk to discuss the new movement, SA Women Fight Back.
SA Women Fight Back was started on the 8th of August 2019, when one woman, Bronwyn Litke, learned about yet another heartless murder and simply decided, “enough is enough”.
She started the group the day Meghan Cremer’s body was found. This for her, and for many women across South Africa, was the final straw.
The vision for SA Women Fight Back is to cultivate a united front among our female citizens, against violent crimes and femicide in our country.
“With strength in unity, we hope our call is heard. We call for harsher sentencing on all rape and murder cases in our country, access to life-saving information, education, as well as, resources granted for all community programmes”.
