Puzzle-building , colouring in , hopscotch and the Silly Walk zebra crossing
As a means to keeping the kids who visit the Village Green happy and entertained this year, the Slow Festival committee have gone all out to provide a bit of extra kids entertainment!
There will be a small play station set out – not the video game with screen type though, but rather a station where kids of various ages can come and build puzzles or colour in.
The new Sedgefield start out, Picture It, has kindly transformed 2 Slow Festival pictures into puzzles- a 24 piece and a 500 piece puzzle. These will be laid out on a table at the Slow Fest info gazebo for anyone to come and build. The puzzles will also be on sale for the limited duration of the Slow Festival only from the Picture It shop for R35 each and in doing so you will be donating R5 to Sedgefield Animal Matters (S.A.M). There will also be a small station laid out with colouring in books and crayons for any children to come and colour in in.
Or why not come and play hopscotch or walk the ‘Silly Walk zebra crossing’ in as many different ways as possible? There will be 3 prizes for the best ‘Silly Walk’. Ask a friend to film your silly walk on your phone, upload it to your Facebook profile and use the hashtag #sillyslowwalk. You’ll be notified if you’re a winner via Facebook.
All of these will be free, donations are welcome.
So children, get out those puzzle-building skills and colouring in talents out and come and find us at the Slow Festival Info gazebo on the Village Green!
