Kalabash kicks off at Woodmil Lane every Saturday
Woodmil Lane was a buzz on Saturday 24th of September 2016, as locals joined in for the first Kalabash event hosted by SparkLife Studios.
A host of activities were enjoyed by the young and old alike. Children had fun playing safely in the Pirate Island beach. Lynette from Plett Face Painters painted their faces according to their wishes and Raoul the Owl enthralled them on his telescopic legs. They also enjoyed playing with Wesley’s whirling sticks or being entertained by Albert, the clown, as he creates memories with his magical balloons.
Adults from all walks of life strolled through the energised Woodmill Lane stores and enjoyed the many varied local craft stalls, demonstration tables, curio vendor’s and N.G.O drives. They also had time to relax and enjoy a lovingly prepared meal at one of the two new restaurants, while listening to live musical entertainment, where all artists/buskers are encouraged to join in.
Festivities were halted briefly, as Walt Corbett of SparkLife Studios on behalf of Woodmill Lane, presented inspirational prizes to the winning artists who had entered the Woodmill Lane Spring, Colour Splash Colouring, competition.
