A message of support to our matriculants
On behalf of the Kouga Council, I would like to convey my best wishes to all our Grade 12 learners as they sit down to write their final examination.
You have entered the home stretch of your secondary school career and the finish line is in sight.
It is both an exciting and nerve-wracking time, even more so than usual for the Matric Class of 2021, who have had to prepare for their final exams in the midst of the biggest health crisis the world has seen in over a century.
The fact that you are writing your final exams despite 2021’s extreme challenges, is testimony to the power of the human spirit – a spirit that resides in each one of our matriculants and will help carry you across the finish line.
You have been preparing for this moment for the past 12 years. Do not allow anything to derail you now that you are so close.
Stay calm and keep going with your sight firmly fixed on your goal, while knowing that you have the support from your family, friends, teachers and the rest of the community.
Trust in the Almighty to give you strength to pull through.
As the Kouga Council, we guarantee you unconditional support and we are proud that you have made it this far in life.
With the right attitude, you can be anything you want to be. Do not be afraid to dream big – the sky is the limit!
Best Wishes
Kouga Executive Mayor
