Mountain Biking In Kleinmond | Palmiet River MTB Route
The Palmiet River MTB route is a moderate mountain biking trail in Kleinmond. Your route will guide you through the world-renown Kogelberg Nature Reserve.
The route begins at the Oudebosch office located in the Kogelberg Reserve. Please note that the route is limited to 6 riders at a time.
Cyclists will start the circular route on a single track that then goes on to a jeep track.
The mountain biking route in Kleinmond will guide you through the beautiful Palmiet Valley, following the rolling hills of fynbos alongside the Palmiet River. There are a handful of moderate climbs for you to push through as well as sandy and rocky sections.
Pack your backpack with goodies and your swimsuit. The halfway point is a great picnic spot and you can cool off in the river before heading back.
This route will take between 2 to 3 hours and is 26KM long.
Map are available at the Oudebosch office. There is no cell phone reception so please warn friends or relatives that you are going mountain biking in the area.
Entrance is R20 per person and R10 for students at the Oudebosch office.
