The route:
Swim with your horse, charge up and over dunes and along spectacular beaches. Spot whales and birds while in the saddle and enjoy the quiet scenery.
14 nights – 13 riding days
Day 1 – 4 hours – Farm 215 to Bodhi Khaya
Day 2 – 5 hours – Bodhi Khaya to Stanford River Lodge
Day 3 – 5 hours – Stanford River Lodge to WitvoetKloof
Day 4 – 5 hours – Witvoetkloof to Klein Paradjis
Day 5 – Klein Paradjis to Ratel Rivier in the Cape Agulhas National Park
Day 6 – 5 hours – Ratel River till Renosterkop in the Cape Agulhas National Park
Day 7 – 6 hours – Renosterkop past the southern most tip of Africa
Day 8 – 3 hours – Klipfontein to Vogelgezang
Day 9 – 4 hours – Vogelgezang to Soetendals Vallei
Day 10 – 5 hours – Soetendals Vallei to Bergplaas
Day 11 – 6 hours – Bergplaas to Wolvengat
Day 12 – Wolvengat to Tierfontein
Day 13 – Tierfontein to Farm 215
Notes:
- Riders are to be fit, healthy and comfortable with a trot and canter.
- Riders must be prepared to spend long hours in the saddle.
- Hard hats are supplied as well as chaps, however, bring your own if you have.
