Triumphant Performance by Overberg Artistic Gymnasts
The Overberg Artistic Gymnasts Team showcased their exceptional skills and determination at the recent Western Cape Gymnastics Championships
A prominent event was held in Saldanha from the 21st to the 23rd of July. With a total of 860 talented gymnasts from across the Western Cape qualifying for this prestigious competition, the stage was set for an exhilarating display of athleticism and grace.
Under the guidance of Madelein Wrigley, the dedicated owner and coach of Gym Genies, the local gymnasts made their mark with an outstanding performance that garnered them a collection of well-deserved medals. The team’s dedication and tireless effort were evident as they brought home an impressive haul of three gold, six silver, and three bronze medals, reaffirming their position as true champions.
Among the notable achievers were the Level 3 competitors, who demonstrated their prowess and determination to secure their place on the podium. Liné Koekemoer, Anlia Sprong, Hellen Hearing, Lily Ann Fivaz, Heilie-Miré Gerber, Bella Coetzer, and the coach Lisa Rossouw formed the core of the Level 3 team.
