Fernkloof Indigenous Nursery is the most magical nursery in the Overstrand/Hermanus area.

Situated in the heart of the Fernkloof Nature Reserve, the nursery started nearly 20 years ago! Jack Bold, the present manager and his team aim to provide quality, disease-free plants at unbeatable prices.

The nursery is an aspect of the Hermanus Botanical Society, a registered Non-Profit Organisation. Surplus funds from the nursery sales are utilised for community projects.

Fernkloof Nature Reserve is famous for the fact that so many plant species are seen growing alongside one another. The reserve protects coastal Fynbos and evergreen forest areas.

Directions: From Hermanus, travel down the Main Road towards Stanford until you come to Fir Avenue on the left, just before the large traffic circle in Voelklip. Travel up Fir Avenue until you reach the entrance to the Fernkloof Nature Reserve. The Botanical Centre buildings, including the Herbarium and Nursery, are on the left, gardens on the right and the Visitors’ Centre about 500 metres up the road. At present there is no entrance fee.
