See what this local lady had to say to us…
Describe yourself in 3 words…
Kind, fun, loving.
My 3 favourite things in the world are…
My husband, family, and reading
What made you decide to become a photographer?
I love capturing moments that often go by unnoticed, and the way that photos can make memories last forever.
What do you love about photography?
The freedom to be as creative as you want. There are no limits to what you can do. It’s your way of capturing the way you see things.
How would you describe your style of photography?
Relaxed and simple, I love using natural light in my photos.
My favourite shoots are those that are…
Fun and relaxed (I sound like a broken record) but I really love it when the people I am photographing feel like they can relax and be themselves.
What are your 3 favourite things to photograph and why?
My 3 favourite things to photograph are weddings, newborns, and portraits, but I enjoy photographing almost anything.
The best part of my job is…
Being able to be creative with what I do and that I work for myself.
What is the most important advice that you could give to a couple regarding their engagement, wedding or maternity shoots?
Make sure that when you choose a photographer that their style of photography matches your style, that way you will both be happy and can avoid any misunderstandings.
If you aren’t on a shoot what are you doing?
Reading, swimming, catching up on series or just being outdoors in general.
“Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody.” – Chloe Day
Hermanus is…
Such a beautiful town.
My favourite place in Hermanus is…
Onrus and the Hemel en Aarde Valley, I love how peaceful Onrus is, Hemel en Aarde has beautiful scenery.
I wish I knew then what I do now about…
Being myself, I have realized that everyone is going to have something to say, but in the end you have to decide if you are happy with you.
My best memories are…
When my brother, sister and I would make “houses” in our kitchen cupboards and our parents would “visit” us and bring us “hideout” snacks.
