Rotary Hermanus MTB adventure is back
It is once again time for the Rotary Hermanus Wildekrans MTB Adventure, taking place on Saturday 12 August.
The event, part of the Hermanus Times Kalfiefees programme, is staged on the well-known Wildekrans Wine Estate in Botrivier and deviates slightly from last year in terms of routes and distances.
The track is definitely going to be “easier”, according to Braam Gericke from Wildekrans who constructed the course, and includes three distances of 50 km, 30 km and 10 km.
The current economic climate has also been taken into consideration with the entry fees considerably lower this year – R250 for the 50 km, R200 for the 30 km and R50 for the 10 km.
This is not a timed competitive race and participants, particularly families, can look forward to an enjoyable ride through some of the most scenic routes the Overberg has to offer.
Entries have already opened and can be done online at www.racetec.co.za until Thursday 10 August when entries close. Thereafter registration will take place on Friday 11 August between 16:00 and 19:30 at the Kalfiefees Tent at the Grobler Hall in Onrus.
Late entries will be accepted at the venue from 06:00 till 07:30 on the morning of the race prior to the start at 08:00.
