Shark Cage Diving at Kleinbaai near Gansbaai

Shark Diving Unlimited based in Gansbaai, is a fully licenced shark cage diving operator run by Mike Rutzen. This shark diving operation is run to the highest standard possible.

The company has permits from Marine and Coastal Management and is approved by both the Department of Environment and Tourism, and Gansbaai Tourism.

Shark Diving Unlimited has attracted a host of celebrities like Brad Pitt, Matt Daemon, Prince Harry and lots more to share in this adrenalin driven activity.

Shark Diving Unlimited is internationally renowned for its exceptional success rate. Seasoned experts all guarantee that your experience will be jam-packed with excitement like you have never experienced before.

You do not need to be a qualified diver to enter the cage as we use a simple breath hold technique. Children as young as 12 can get into the cage and special certificates are printed for every child that joins us for a Great White Shark Cage diving trip.

Shark Diving Unlimited has a videographer who will make a movie of your trip that is available immediately after your return to the Crew House. This Movie will also be accompanied by one of our world-class documentaries “Sharks – Man Eaters or Misunderstood” that aired on the BBC, and was made in conjunction with Blue Planet Aquarium and the Editor of the England Dive Magazine.

After the trip, traditional home made vegetable soup, home baked scones, muffins and homemade bread is served. There will be a screening of your daytrip movie and one of five of our documentaries.

Launch times are confirmed well in advance and alternative arrangements are made in case of bad weather. Despite our 99.99% success rate, these are wild animals and sightings cannot be guaranteed. However in the unlikely event that we don’t find sharks we will offer you a free trip!
