Helderberg Farm – Hiking Trails
Helderberg Farm is situated between Somerset West and Stellenbosch on the foothills of the majestic Helderberg Mountain. When traveling on the R44 from Somerset West direction Stellenbosch, the turnoff to Helderberg Farm is approximately 4.5km from Somerset West Main rd.
The Hikingtrail Grades are Easy to moderate to difficult.
There is a Picnic & Braai area in Granny’s Forest at starting point which is close to the playground and the Tea garden.
Young and old can choose routes from 1- 20 km.

Please treat the mountain with respect and take suitable precautions when hiking:
- Never travel alone
- Make sure someone knows what route you are taking and when you expect to return
- Always carry water and snacks with you
- Wear a hat
- Carry protection from cold and wind – even on hot days
