Gordon’s Bay Waste Drop-off
Household or garden waste can be disposed of in-between waste collection days at the Gordon’s Bay drop-off facility.
Up to 1 300kg (1,3 tons) of non-hazardous waste may be disposed at any of the City of Cape Town’s sites, at no cost. Green garden waste is then chipped and composted, while builder’s rubble is crushed for re-use.
Waste that is not recyclable or re-useable is transported to the landfill for disposal.
Gordon’s Bay Waste Drop-off facility accepts garage waste, clean garden waste, motor oil, cans and metal, paper, cardboard, glass bottle, plastic, e-waste, clean builders rubble, polystyrene and tetrapak.
