Load-shedding power outages generally last for about 2 hours and 30 minutes, with one area being affected at a time during stage 1 and up to four areas being affected at a time during stage 4. Help to reduce the electricity load and risk of load-shedding by switching off all non-essential appliances, including your geyser, where possible.
