City of Cape Town doing their bit for Helderberg Beaches
Everybody is always complaining about the state of our beaches, but seem to forget that with trash on the beach we don’t only have to contend with human behaviour but also with the weather and tides e.g. Spring Tide & Red Tide, which both visited us recently.
The same “complainers” are also the ones who will NEVER be seen at the Community Volunteer Beach Clean-up that ShowMe Helderberg organizes. We have a handful of “die hard” volunteers who shows up, every single time. I salute all of you – people like you makes this effort of ours worth while.
If you want to make a difference, YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP!
The City of Cape Town not only goes out of their way to support our community clean-ups, but are very often not getting credit for their exceptional efforts to keep our beaches clean. This morning I came across a cleaning team on Gordon’s Bay Beach.
City of Cape Town – ShowMe Helderberg thanks you – you are AWESOME!
If you would like to get involved with our monthly Community Volunteer Beach Clean-up that takes place on the 1st Saturday of every month at both Strand & Gordon’s Bay Beach – look for the Event info on our Events & Entertainment Page, or contact Marla C | 082 410 4004 E | marla@showme.co.za
