2012 Retreats
Flow into 2012 Yoga Retreat – 20/01/2012 to 22/01/2012
Kick start 2012 in the perfect way – by spending two magical days and nights with us at Bodhi Khaya, just outside Hermanus. It promises to be an uplifting and fun weekend, with delicious, detoxifying meals, spectacular nature walks, meditation, vision board afternoon, a labyrinth walk, and of course, loads of fantastic yoga!
Relating with your unborn child – 24/02/2012 to 26/02/2012
Unwind from the busyness of your daily life, still your mind, and breathe. Silence and meditation create the inner spaciousness to listen deeply to yourself, your partner and your baby. Resonate with your baby’s slower rhythm so that you can support his or her innate trust, love and wisdom during pregnancy and birth.
The art of walking – 16/03/2012 to 18/03/2012
Walking is the most ordinary of our activities, and a powerful aspect of any journey into Conscious Awareness. Indeed our daily Walking, far from being mindless, extreme exercise, is a Path to the Sacred.
In this Workshop-Retreat, we focus on natural, conscious walking.
The deepest Acceptance – 20/03/2012 to 27/03/2012
We spend our lives seeking wealth, love, success, approval, and even ‘spiritual enlightenment’ in the future. Yet right at the heart of life there is an intimacy, a simplicity, a vast spaciousness that is totally beyond words – and which cannot be reached through any effort of ours. In our exhausting attempts to change, to improve ourselves, to become ‘perfect’ or ‘enlightened’, or perfectly enlightened, we end up ignoring this wordless intimacy which exists here and now – an intimacy which is really our true home, and the end of our seeking.
Lighten up Yoga Retreat – 30/03/2012 to 01/04/2012
Yoga is a practice of waking up and becoming more aware of who you really are. When we break the patterns of habit we become free to know who we are.
Cleanse your body of impurities through 3 days of detoxifying Vinyasa Yoga. Enjoy uplifting, detoxifying practices with music, and fun in the magic and beauty of the Bodhi Khaya Nature Reserve. It is a welcoming, safe haven in which to awaken your spirit to possibility, explore your truth, and to rest and relax. Explore the surrounding countryside, indulge your spirit with free time to play, write, walk, read and swim.
Nourishing body, nourishing mind – 11/05/2012 to 13/05/2012
The food we eat and the way we prepare it is an integral part of the way we experience health and vitality. Often we believe that our spiritual practise is separate to what we are doing on a daily basis. This retreat explores how we can infuse our everyday lives with a greater sense of meaning through the ingredients we select, the way in which meals are prepared and how we conduct our lives at different times of the year. Join Daniel as he demonstrates how to transform even the most simple, natural ingredients into mouth-watering vegetarian cuisine that bursts with flavour and vitality. As a group we will participate in discussions about nutrition as well as meditation and chi kung practise to create a deeper connection with ourselves and our surroundings.
