1.Tabogganing at Cool Runnings
Stay cool while out and about in the sunshine at Cool Runnings.
Hop onto the custom 1.25km track in a bobsled at this local spot and try your hand at tobogganing.
It’s a great way to embrace the warmer weather and it’s perfect for adults and children alike.

2. Salsa Dancing at Sea Point Promenade
The Sea Point Promenade is the perfect spot to catch a summer sunset but if you’re not keen on just walking the prom, why not dance instead?

3. Supping at the V&A Battery Park
Stand up and paddle your way through the V&A Waterfront canals with SUP Cape Town.
For just R200 per hour you can SUP the cool waters at one of the Mother City’s biggest tourist attractions and the new urban park.
Minimum skills are required and although it may look challenging at first, stand up paddling is relatively easy and a great summer activity.

4. Watch a movie under the starts with Galileo
If you’re not looking to get active this summer, grab a blanket and some snacks and watch a movie instead. Summer is the best season for kicking back under the stars and watching some golden oldies on the big screen.

5. Paint a clay creation at the Clay Cafe
So you’re planning a big day out on the town or an adventurous hike to celebrate summer but the rain starts pouring down. What do you do now?

6. Water biking in Simon’s Town

You can’t spend a summer in Cape Town without a little (or a lot) of wine.

Animal-lovers, this one is for you. Giraffe House Wildlife Awareness Centre has become a must-visit destination in Cape Town.

13. Do Goat Yoga at Fairview

15. Paraglide off Signal Hill or Lions Head

16. Two Oceans Aquarium
The Two Oceans Aquarium on the V&A Waterfront is rated as one of the top aquariums in the world. Over 3000 living sea creatures can be seen in this spectacular underwater nature reserve. The excellent aquarium features denizens of the deep from the cold and the warm oceans that border the Cape Peninsula.
There are ragged-tooth sharks, a variety of fishes, penguins, turtles, an astounding kelp forest open to the sky, and pools in which children can touch sea creatures. Qualified divers are allowed into the water for a closer look.

17. Tour of Diamond Museum at V&A

18. Chapman’s Peak Drive
There are few better views in the world than the view seen on a late afternoon cruise along Chapman’s Peak Drive. Rated as one of the world’s best coastal drives, the toll road ribbons along the Atlantic coastline between Noordhoek and Hout Bay and with every turn along the cliff’s edge another picture-perfect panorama comes into sight.
Luckily, there are plenty of picnic stops along the way for those who really want to savour the view across the bay. Chapman’s Peak Drive is affectionately known by locals as ‘Chappies’ and is a popular route for runners, hikers, and bikers. The drive forms an iconic stretch of the Cape Town Cycle Tour, making it a popular route for both professional and amateur cyclists.

20. Take a surf lesson on Muizenberg beach
Muizenberg is a beachside suburb of Cape Town, situated where the shore of the Cape Peninsula curves round to the east on the False Bay coast.
It is considered to be the birthplace of surfing in South Africa and is currently home to a large surfing community, centered on the popular ‘Surfer’s Corner’. We recommend you pop over to Knead Café for a sumptuous breakfast.
