White River – The annual Heidel Eggs Corporate Cook Off took place at the well-known Bagdad Centre in White River last weekend.
As part of putting back into the community Estelle Roe from Junxion and Heidel Eggs organize various activities each year. On 13 October they hosted a Corporate Cook-off at Bagdad Centre in White River, where 15 local companies cooked against each other.
Judges tasted each meal within categories like Best tasting, most nutritious meal team spirit etc. The judges this year were Koos Vermeulen, Sibongile from MRTT, Michelle Higgo from Emnotweni, Jacques Lombaard and Wayne Blake.
Overall winners prize was a week away in Bilene Mozambique with other prizes including various vouchers for each of the winning teams.

Not even a Lowveld downpour and cold weather circumstances the entire Saturday could keep the teams from competing for the coveted award! As always, teams were given a set of ingredients on the day to prepare for the judges.
