VULTURE CONSERVATION SET TO FLY IN UK
VULTURE CONSERVATION SET TO FLY IN UK
When Kerri Wolter was nominated for the Tusk Conservation Award and attended the Awards ceremony in London in the presence on Prince William, global attention was brought to VulPro (Vulture Conservation and Rehabilitation Programme) based in Hartbeespoort, South Africa. The local NPO is now ecstatic to announce the opening of a sister company based in Brixworth, Northhampton in the United Kingdom.
This is a major step in expanding the reach of VulPro and the amazing work they do for vultures, not only here in South Africa, but worldwide too.
The aim of VulPro UK is to support the South African organization through education and fund raising. They are set to attend a number of events throughout Britain with an exhibition stand promoting the plight of the vulture globally, but with specific emphasis on the threat to the Cape Vulture. Sourcing funds and resources for the organization is also a priority for them. VulPro have a number of NPO projects in the pipeline.
As a newly established arm, VulPro UK has already done great work and this can only be a predictor of greater things to come in the months and years ahead.
