Field Guide

Dynamic opportunity for a self-motivate, energetic Field Guide to join a 5* property based in the Eastern Cape. Our client requires the successful candidate to handle the following duties:

• Conduct memorable and informative Game drives and bush walks in Big Five area,
  Responsibility of the safety and well-being of guests,
• Hosting of guests and night duty (camp is not fenced – guides rotate night duty which involves walking guests back to their rooms after dinner)
• Bush clearing and road maintenance,
• Transfers of guests and staff when required,
• Take responsibility of general vehicle upkeep and maintenance,
• Conducting research projects in affiliation with SANParks,
• Take part in training,
• Uphold National Park conservation practices.

This is a live in position – 21 days on and 5 days off

Qualifications:

• FGASA – level 2
• Back-up trails an advantage
• ARH
• Rifle competency certificate – SAPS white card
• Valid first Aid Certificate – minimum level 1
• PDP Licence – Code 10
• THETA / DEAT registered
• 1-2 years’ experience in 5* would be advantageous
• Computer literate – MS Office
• 4 x 4 and off road driving experience
• Must be fluent in English – written & spoken
