Georgian Lifts Proudfoot Cup

Local Graaff-Reinet golfer, Danovan Arries, provided added fun hitting a majestic 7 iron that pitched and dropped into the short 6th hole cup for his first-ever Hole-in-One.

The 25th Proudfoot Golf Tournament hosted by the Graaff-Reinet Golf Club this past weekend was once again a resounding success.

The course, in magnificent condition, sported a field of 88 golfers.

Local Graaff-Reinet golfer, Danovan Arries, provided added fun hitting a majestic 7 iron that pitched and dropped into the short 6th hole cup for his first-ever Hole-in One.

The overall Proudfoot champion after three rounds of golf is Gerald Anderson from George (116), followed by Patrick Ludick of GRT Golf Club (113) and Archie Welman, also of GRT Golf Club (113).

Each evening players and spouses enjoyed delicious Karoo meals and were royally entertained.
