Heiderand Watch gets welcome boost
A recent donation of two bulletproof vests will give the Heiderand Neighbourhood Watch a welcome safety boost. The donation was made by Fidelity ADT, and handed over on Friday, 3 August.
The partnership between Fidelity ADT and the Neighbourhood Watch stretches back over many years, explains Garden Route branch manager for Fidelity ADT, Steven Green.
“It’s always an honour to be involved in these kinds of initiatives and I am delighted that we could help the Neighbourhood Watch in this tangible manner. We realize the importance of supporting our local community and their safety projects. One can never compromise on personal safety and we believe that these state of the art bulletproof vests will assist greatly,” he says.
The chair of the Neighbourhood Watch, Peggy Roux, also welcomed the donation.
“These partnerships provide platforms where we can discuss and share crime related information while also sharing best practices. We are extremely grateful for the donation and would like to thank Fidelity ADT for their continuous support. These vests will greatly contribute to the safety of our patrol members, improving the overall safety measures of our NHW operations” says Roux.
