Ash cloud no effect on George flights
GEORGE NEWS – The ash cloud from Chile’s Cordón Caulle volcano noticed near Cape Town over the weekend, did not affect local domestic flights to and from George Airport.
Whilst weekend flights to Cape Town, East London and Port Elizabeth were cancelled, things returned to near normal by Monday according to Airports Company South Africa.
George Airport Manager, Brenda Moses, said yesterday that no flights to and from George Airport had been cancelled.
