George Vintage Tractor Day

For the first time a vintage tractor day was held at the Mount View Resort. The old tractors were used to clean half a hectare of land from bush then the land was tilted and planted by the vintage tractors with their implements.

It fun for young and old, the children had special rides on wagons pulled by the vintage tractors and they enjoyed posing on them.

Refreshments were available and boerwors rolls were sold as a fundraiser for a local old age home. The highlight was certainly the collection of the old vaaljapies, and they were in a beautiful condition.

The plan is to have this as an annual event and to grow from strength tot strength every year.
