TAKING CRAFT TO THE NEXT LEVEL
5TH ANNUAL THOUSAND SENSATIONS FANCOURT CRAFT LIQUOR, FOOD & MUSIC FESTIVAL
George, South Africa (September 2018) – The 5th Thousand Sensations Fancourt Craft Liquor, Food & Music Festival will be hosted at the luxurious Fancourt Estate, Bramble Hill, a landmark for business, leisure and golfing . Thousand Sensations and Fancourt have partnered to host this ever-popular event on the 21st and 22nd of September 2018.
Attendees can expect no less than 26 craft beer breweries, 7 craft artisanal distilleries, 4 wine cellar labels, 12 food stalls, one liqueur stand and a number of non-alcoholic craft drink stalls! All of this can be enjoyed at leisure in a combined tented area of more than 1700sqm.
A line-up of 12 artists will ensure that festival-goers rock to 18 hours of music. Add to this ample and safe parking, a picturesque setting at the foot of the Outeniqua mountain, public transport (GO George) and you have a winning recipe!
Organiser of the event, Alewijn Dippenaar, explained “We use the words “craft liquor” to include craft beer as the focus, but our festivals are complemented by craft gin, brandy, whiskey, rum and liqueur. And do not forget the organic wines and garagistes! The main objective was to consolidate the festival under one “roof”, even if it is a tented roof. The growth of the festival over the last four years has required us to find a much bigger venue. We are grateful to the Wilderness for helping us grow the festival to one of the most “must attend” craft beer events in South Africa.”
The pre-event craft beer and food pairing is back by popular demand. We will be hosting 3 of these events – one on 13 September 2018 at the Views Boutique Hotel in Wilderness, another on 17 September 2018 at 101 Meade Restaurant and our last one on 18 September 2018 at Turnberry Boutique Hotel.
Only 20 tickets are left for the event on 13 September 2018. We’ll be pairing excellent craft food with craft beer from Robertson Brewery, Karoo Craft Brewery, Triggerfish Brewing and Sedgefield Slow Porter. Inverroche rum and liqueur, Qualito Vodka and a Houtbosch wine will also be available on the day.. Get your tickets directly from the hotel.
The craft liquor and food pairing at 101 Mead Restaurant will be hosting Robertson, Karoo Craft, Cape Mead and Triggerfish Breweries, as well as Houtbosch and Du Toitskloof Wine, with a twist of PANG Craft Liqueur and Qualito Craft Vodka.
Our last pre-pairing event will be hosted at Turnberry Boutique Hotel in Oudtshoorn just ahead of the Thousand Sensations Fancourt Festival.
The Thousand Sensations Fancourt Festival will be hosted on Friday, 21 September 2018 from 15:00 – 22:00 and Saturday, 22 September 2018 from 11:00 – 22:00. Tickets are R80 per person and R140 for a weekend pass. Tickets include a 100ml and 340ml glass. Tickets for kids under the age of 18 are R40 each and kids under 12 get in for free. Tickets can be booked online at www.ticketrush.co.za or bought directly from the venue.
