Band launches 1st Afrikaans CD in George

ShofarBand recently launched their first Afrikaans album, ‘Ons Sal Sing’, in the George Civic Centre.

The album, which features 12 all-new Afrikaans songs as well as a new arrangement of a hymn, was released in July this year and the band is currently on tour to introduce it countrywide.

ShofarBand is a group of musicians from Shofar congregations around South Africa and abroad.
‘Ons Sal Sing’ is their second album.

Their first album, a live worship CD called ‘Victorious One’, was released last year and captures nine songs that were written and produced from within the church family, as well as a reworking of a traditional hymn.

‘Ons Sal Sing’ was recorded from the studio with an accompanying music video.
