The Malcolm Dewey Fine Art Gallery showcases Malcolm’s love of nature in his art. He paints landscapes, the sea, trees and everything that resonates with his soul.
I work mostly with oil paint and favour subjects that emphasise light, dark and colour. My painting style is inspired by the impressionists. I prefer a painterly approach, working with generous amounts of paint. Intuition is my guide. If you get a sense of the scene beyond mere technique then I am happy. Without the emotional involvement with the viewer there is no art. Each painting must be unique! What is the fashion at the moment? I could not be bothered! Art is an individual expression by an artist.
The studio gallery is in East London, although Malcolm’s works are sold all over South Africa and overseas.
