Eastern Capes annual Sardine Run – A Natural Wonder!
Here is a video taken at Port St Johns, a short way South of East London. In June every year, the Sardines migrate to the warmer waters closer to the equator and a very powerful story of nature takes place right here off our shores.
Here is a beautiful HD video of the sardine run showing how the shoals are followed by all the sea, land and air creatures that partake in one of the biggest feeding frenzies ever seen. Often likened to the sea version of the wild life migration on Serengeti Plains, the Sardine run is one of natures most spectacular events.
