East London Yacht and Sailing Club
The East London Yacht Club is based at the edge of the harbour wall at the Port of East London. The Club has full ablution facilities and water and diesel are also available. There is a slipway if a yacht needs to be taken out of the water.
The bar facilities are open between the hours of 17h00 till late on Wednesday and Friday evenings and 12h00 till late on Saturday and Sundays. There are no restaurant facilities at the Club (a kitchen is available for functions) but there is a nearby restaurant on Latimer’s Landing.
The East London Yacht Club is the finishing point of the annual Vasca da Gama Regatta, which starts in Durban, and there are also regular events which take place at the club. Telephone: 043-722 2278: Email or Website.
To get to the Club, take the Lower Esplanade Street off Esplanade Street, which runs along the main beach front.
