East London Golf Club, Eastern Cape
The East London Golf Course is one of South Africa’s oldest golf clubs and features a unique natural course layout, meandering through coastal dunes and indigenous bush.
It is enhanced by striking natural scenery overlooking the Indian Ocean and is home to bird species such as the Knysna Loerie as well as a family of Impala.
Over the years the East London Golf Club has retained respect and high recognition as one of South Africa’s best Championship courses and it has already hosted the South African Open six times. National and Regional Championships, Seniors and Nomads Tournaments are also held at the Club on a regular basis.
Regarded by all as a course every golfer should play, this delightful playing experience is set on fairways that have been graced by many of the top golfing champions. The greens and bunker complexes underwent reconstruction in August 2007, steering the course towards the top-rated venue it is today.
The Club’s golf shop gives golfers a warm welcome and access to the course after checking in and helpful staff provide the requirements for your round. There is a driving range next to the course where professional coaching is available.
Situated on high ground overlooking the sea, the luxurious Clubhouse features a main lounge and a club bar where golfers can relax and enjoy the stunning views. The Club also features the Halfway House, formerly known as the Tea House, where you can experience a delicious meal.
Sumptuous conference facilities and a new glass venue suitable for weddings and events, is also available.
