Bass Fishing at the Bridal Drift Dam, East London
The Bridal Drift Dam, an artificial lake on the Buffalo River, has been reclaimed from the water hyacinth and is now a good spot for large bass fishing.
Boating and wind surfing are also enjoyed at the lake and canoes are available for hire. Telephone: 043 764 9304 or 084 600 5432.
Antelopes and gazelles, as well as a large number of water birds, are present in the 580ha nature reserve.
The Dam is 25km west of East London.
