Sponsors of Brave – 10th nominee – Ncedo Ludada
Meet Ncedo Ludada. Ncedo goes the extra mile to uplift the lives of people living with disabilities by providing affordable and accessible prosthetics.
Nestled in the town of Mthatha, Ncedo Ludada, found his calling in helping to improve the quality of life for people living with disabilities.
In 2016, Orthotist & Prosthetist Ludada, recognised that the cost of prosthetics often prevented those in disadvantaged communities from accessing this care. This prompted him to found his life-changing initiative – the Ludada and Associates Orthopaedic Services.
“It’s given me a deep sense of meaning and purpose… as I’ve realised we give hope. Hope that life is waiting to be enjoyed and lived to the fullest. Hope for the marginalised, enabling them to live a dignified life. We are helping to build a nation,” says Ludada.
Ludada is also known to always go the extra mile for his patients, even driving them to appointments if they’re having commuting issues. Here is a man who is truly living up to the meaning of his Xhosa name, Ncedo, which translates to Help.
