Pizza. We all love pizza. Well, the majority of people anyway, and certainly in the USA and some parts of Canada where they even have a National Pizza Month every October! And although the origin of the word ‘pizza’ may be uncertain, there’s no mistaking that this popular meal is absolutely delicious, whether eaten plain or with a multitude of toppings. Here in East London, we are spoilt for choice with the variety of pizza joints on offer, many of which you are able to call in with your order and then collect, or even better, have your yummy food delivered…
Roman’s Pizza are proud pizza perfectionists and each meal is made from the finest, freshest ingredients. Although they don’t deliver, you can call ahead and collect within about 20 minutes of ordering. You can find Roman’s in either Cambridge or Gonubie.
Debonairs Pizza, established in 1991 by two university students, is Africa’s leading pizza restaurant today. Visit them for some absolutely delicious food in Beacon, Vincent Park, CBD, Hemingways Mall, Beach Front and Southernwood.
Panarotti’s Pizza Express delivers super-speedy service and the same Panarottis quality you’ve come to love. Find them at Hemingways Mall.
Guidos is an Eastern Cape-only franchise famous for their mouth-watering wood-fired pizzas (plus steaks, pastas, salads and light meals). You can find them at the Beach Front, in Vincent, Beacon Bay and Gonubie.
Legend has it that Scooters Pizza was established by three like-minded professionals but common knowledge dictates that it was rather three people who actually just had a love for tasty pizza and a desire to get it served and delivered faster than ever before! Find them in Berea!

Asian food is an incredibly popular food and can be categorized into several major regional families but here in East London the most popular eateries include Chinese, Thai and Indian. You can order takeaways from any of the following delicious restaurants:

The very first Fish & Chip shop was opened in London in 1860 by Joseph Malin and the meal rather quickly became what is known today as the traditional dish in England. KFC, everybody’s favourite, can be found throughout East London, so whether it’s for something light like a snack burger or you’re feeling really hungry and fancy a family bucket, you are guaranteed to find an outlet near you in Amalinda, CBD, Selborne, Vincent, Gonubie, Beacon Bay and Cambridge.
Perhaps as famous for their clever advertisements as they are for their chicken, Nando’s is a firm favourite when it comes to fast food. There are a few outlets in East London including Hemingways Mall, Amalinda and Vincent Park.
