Funnyman helps Guild
South African comedy legend Barry Hilton will be performing at the Guild Theatre next Thursday as part of the theatre’s fundraising campaign.
The theatre is trying to raise funds to buy a generator so shows can continue even when there is load-shedding, meaning the Guild does not lose the funds needed to keep the theatre running.
His new show, Barry Hilton Live, is guaranteed to thrill both die-hard fans and first-timers.
Renowned for his hilarious facial expressions, incredible animal impressions and crazy physical movements, Hilton is pure comedy gold.
Inspired by comedy icons Richard Pryor and Billy Connelly, Hilton has thrilled audiences across the globe for a remarkable three decades.
With regular performances in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, Asia and, of course, across Africa, Barry brings laughter wherever he goes.
This award-winning comedian’s magic formula of appealing to people of all ages and backgrounds ensures sold out signs are up weeks before show opening dates.
Barry has six signature DVDs to his name, has starred in two movies and regularly features on television. While not on the public stage, he records radio and TV adverts, entertains at corporate events and works on international cruise liners.
Be sure to catch his one-night- only show on June 25 at 7.30pm.
Tickets at R120 are available from Computicket or from the Guild on (043)743-0704.
