SA Navy celebrates World Hydrography day in East London
The SA Navy chose the port of East London to celebrate World Hydrography day. ShowMe East London was lucky to be amoungst the honoured guests, army, airforce and media who were treated to a 5 hour adventure on the SAS Protea.
Guests were treated to a lovely trip out to sea on this graceful lady and the highlight was a close interaction at sea with a navy submarine. The large swells resulted in a number of the guests hanging on tightly to the railings, while some managed unsuccessfully to hang on to the lovely meal provided by the Navy. Our very own Karen Herman managed to hang on to hers, but for quite a while it was touch and go! Much to her dismay, I have included a couple of pic’s of her doing everything she can to hang on to her meal.
A huge thank-you to the SA Navy for choosing the port of East London to celebrate World Hydrography day. The Navy will be holding events public events throughout the weekend and the public are invited to join in. Please visit the ShowMe website for more details.
