Border Inflatable Boat Club Second Round

The second round of the summer series Regional Inflatable Power Boat event took place at Gonubie and Orient Beach in perfect conditions on the 23rd and 24th February 2013.

The blueprint class saw the return of Michael Hatting and Candace Pretorius after Candace broke her arm in a car accident over a year ago. The class produced some excellent racing with ex-world champion Dylan Cloete and Siyabonga Nkumbi being beaten into third place by the consistent team effort of Zane Schonknecht and Dalton Wiggill. In second place were the team of Kyle Kolbe and Ross Templeman who have just moved up to the blueprint class after winning the standard class last season.

Fourth position went to Michael and Candace and in fifth position was Rohan Nortje and Jarrid Seegers.

In the standard class the team of Tyla Webber and Kyle Rex-Marrillier took a convincing win with Dillon Simpson and Duanne Hardy in second and following them were the teams of Dylan and Travis Hawkes in third, Jacque du Preez and Ayrton Sadie in fourth and Machiel Marx and Bennie Wiese in fifth.
