The Gandhi Centenary Park in Chatsworth
The Gandhi Centenary Park was established to commemorate the centenary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi’s arrival in South Africa.
The park offers jungle gyms and swings for children to play on, lawns ideal for a Sunday afternoon stroll and lots of seating so that you can sit back, relax and enjoy the view. There’s a stream and a pond where you will see a statue of Gandhi.
The Gandhi Centenary Park is located in between the Temple of Understanding (Bhaktivedanta Swami Circle) and the Chatsworth Centre (in between Joyhurst Street and Main Street) where you can do a bit of shopping.
