RACE CAR TRACK AT SUGAR RUSH

Race Car enthusiast, Deon Gove (who has been racing remote control cars for over 20 years) has just opened what can only be described as a boys (and some girls) remote control car haven at Sugar Rush Park. Gear Raceway is a Race Track for electric (1/10th scale) cars that are purpose made for racing. The cars are all Carbon fibre and aluminium and are fully adjustable. There are classes for different levels of drivers from stock classes through to modified where the cars are capable of over 120kph. Races will be held once a month at Gear, and there’ll be practice days in between. Their first big race takes place on February 4th!!

There will also be 5 National events each year and Gear Raceway will be hosting the second Nationals for 2017 – 27 April to the 30 April. This year the nationals will be highly contested as the World championship will be held in 2018 in South Africa at a Track based in Welkom, Free state.
