Treat for loving ladies
Spreading the love this Valentine’s day is exactly what the ladies of Poinsettia Park did. A group of 25 ladies, all gathered on Valentine’s morning, suitably dressed in red and white to practice their creative side with a Love inspired crafts morning.
They made Valentine’s cards from pre-used cards, they also made up scrapbooks from magazines to compile books that they will hand out at soup kitchens and community clinics in Kwamakutha to the orphaned children. These books provide the children with visual stimulation and also includes word puzzles which they thoroughly enjoy.
“It feels amazing to be able to give back to the community in a way where we recycle old magazines and greeting cards. In support of their effort in recycling, and giving back to the community, Hirsch’s Springfield treated the ladies to valentine cupcakes with a spot of tea.
